Terms of Service

Welcome to Lawnchair Sports! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lawnchair Sports mobile application (the "App"), operated by Lawnchair LLC ("we," "our," or "us").
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms govern your use of Lawnchair Sports services and supplement any app-store terms that apply to your download and use of the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Lawnchair Sports, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Community Guidelines, and all applicable laws.
2. Eligibility
Age. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the App. By creating an account or using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Location. The App is currently available only to users in the United States.
3. Entertainment Only — No Real Money
Lawnchair Sports is for entertainment purposes only. The App does not offer gambling, betting, or wagering. Contests, picks, standings, and outcomes have no monetary value in the App. Users cannot deposit, withdraw, win, lose, or receive money through the App, and Lawnchair LLC does not process, hold, transfer, or pay out money tied to contest participation or results.
4. Account Registration and Security
To use certain features, you may create an account or sign in using a supported authentication method. Depending on the method you choose, we may collect or receive information such as your email address, username, display name, password, or provider account information. You may also start as a guest, in which case we create an anonymous account for your app session so you can use the App before adding a permanent sign-in method.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential, for all activity under your account, and for notifying us promptly of any unauthorized access. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current.
5. User Content
What it is. "User Content" means everything you submit to the App — contest names, your display name, entry names, picks, and any other content.
Ownership and license. You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant Lawnchair LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and share it as needed to operate the App (including displaying it to other participants in your contests) and to sublicense these rights to the service providers that host and operate the App. This license continues for as long as reasonably needed to operate the App, display content to contest participants, preserve contest history and integrity, enforce these Terms, maintain safety and moderation records, comply with law, and maintain backups. Where feasible, we may delete or de-identify your User Content after you delete the content or your account.
Your responsibilities. You represent that you have the right to submit your User Content and that it does not violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or any third party's rights.
No endorsement. User Content reflects the views of individual users, not Lawnchair LLC. We do not endorse or guarantee its accuracy.
6. Prohibited Conduct — Zero Tolerance
Lawnchair Sports has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to create, upload, post, or transmit any content that is unlawful, harassing, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable, and not to harass, bully, threaten, or impersonate other users.
You also agree not to:
- Use the App to organize, advertise, or promote unlawful activity, real-money gambling, or betting
- Send spam or scams, use bots, or artificially manipulate picks, contests, or results
- Submit content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights
- Hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the App's security, or interfere with others' use
7. Content Moderation and Enforcement
Tools to keep the community safe. The App provides tools to:
- Filter — submitted content (such as names and contest titles) is automatically screened, and content that violates these Terms may be rejected or removed.
- Report — any user can flag objectionable content or another user for review.
- Block — any user can block another user to stop seeing their content and prevent further contact.
Our action. We review reports of objectionable content and abusive behavior and will act on them within 24 hours by removing the offending content and/or suspending or terminating the responsible account. We may also remove any content, suspend or permanently terminate any account, or refuse service, at our discretion, with or without notice.
Appeals. If your account is suspended or terminated, you may appeal by emailing support@lawnchairsports.app. Appeals are reviewed case by case.
8. Intellectual Property
The App — its design, features, code, graphics, and trademarks ("Lawnchair Sports," "Lawnchair LLC," logos) — is owned by Lawnchair LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the App for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or use the App commercially without our permission.
Sports names and marks. Team, league, and player names — and related marks — that appear in the App are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and informational purposes only. The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any sports league, team, governing body, or athlete.
9. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party service providers (for hosting, app delivery, analytics, and crash reporting) that have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for those services.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or the accuracy of User Content, sports data, or contest results. You use the App at your own risk.
User interactions and disputes. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. Lawnchair LLC is not a party to and is not responsible for any user-to-user promise, payment, prize, reimbursement, or other arrangement, whether discussed in or outside the App. Lawnchair LLC does not mediate, enforce, guarantee, or pay any private arrangement between users.
Sports data and contest results. Sports schedules, scores, statistics, odds, lines, standings, and contest calculations come from third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Lawnchair LLC scores and settles contests on a best-effort basis using this data and does not guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of any data, score, result, or settlement. This information is provided for entertainment purposes only; you should not rely on it for financial, legal, or other consequential decisions.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LAWNCHAIR LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE APP OR SERVICES GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lawnchair LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or any third-party rights.
12. Account Termination
By you. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account (as a guest, Settings → Delete guest data). Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Deleting your account removes your profile and personal information, but may not remove content or records already shared with other contest participants or needed to preserve contest history or integrity; such records may be retained in anonymized or de-identified form, along with information we are legally permitted or required to retain.
By us. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms or at our discretion. On termination, your right to use the App ends and your User Content may be deleted, though we may retain limited information as required by law.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at support@lawnchairsports.app to try to resolve the dispute informally.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the App or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
15. General
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remain in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, are the entire agreement between you and Lawnchair LLC regarding the App.
