Privacy Policy

Lawnchair LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Lawnchair Sports mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you create an account, we collect the email address associated with your sign-in method, your username, and your display name.

Guest accounts. You can use the App without signing up — for example, to create or join a contest. When you do, we create an anonymous account for your app session so your picks and contests are saved. If you uninstall the App, switch devices, or lose access to the app session before adding a permanent sign-in method (Apple, Google, or email), that guest data may be permanently lost.

Activity data. We store the contests you create or join, invite activity, your picks, your results and leaderboard standings, your favorite teams, and the users you invite, block, report, or play with.

Automatically collected. Device type, OS version, app version, usage data, diagnostic data, crash/error data, and performance data, and — if you enable notifications — a push notification token.

What we do NOT collect: payment card or bank account information, precise GPS location, contact lists, or social media credentials.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account; run contests (displaying your picks, results, and standings to other participants in the same contest); let you connect and play with friends; communicate important updates and respond to support; keep the App safe (prevent abuse, spam, and Terms violations); improve the App; and comply with legal obligations.

Visible to other users: your username, display name, and your picks, results, and standings within contests you participate in.

We do not sell your data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Service providers. We share data only as needed with trusted third parties that help us operate the App — for example, providers of cloud hosting and storage, account authentication, email delivery, app delivery and push notifications, product analytics (with no advertising identifiers), and crash reporting. These providers may access your information only to perform services on our behalf and are obligated to protect it.

Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to respond to legal process or situations involving potential harm or illegal activity.

4. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (SSL/TLS) connections, database access controls, and a secure authentication system. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account in Settings → Delete Account (guests: Settings → Delete guest data). Deletion is irreversible — your profile and personal information are removed, typically within 30 days. Anonymized contest records (such as entries already shared with other participants) may be retained to preserve contest history and integrity, along with limited information we must retain by law.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Access and update your profile any time in the App's Settings.
Delete your account and data as described above.
Manage push notifications through your device settings.
Opt out of promotional emails, if any, via the unsubscribe link in those emails.

7. Children's Privacy

Lawnchair Sports is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us information, contact support@lawnchairsports.app and we will delete it.

8. United States Only

The App is currently available only in the United States, and your information is stored on servers in the United States.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents may have the right to know, access, correct, or delete certain personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact support@lawnchairsports.app.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date and, for significant changes, notify you in the App or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
